We deliver a service tailored only for you without a dent of compromise. i-Move doesn’t have one blanket charge, we break down all services we offer you in our relocation quotes so you can understand them. We do not have hidden charges.
We are a duly registered moving and logistics company that complies with the regulations of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria. We are registered to operate under the logistics sector and our registration number is RC 1108331. This can be confirmed on the CAC official website https://search.cac.gov.ng/home
It’s best to call I-MOVE Logistics weeks before your moving day to have a better-planned move. Give us a call and we will send our relocation consultant over to your home to physically inspect and take inventory. Our consultant will visit your new location to ascertain the following: Size of the apartment, what floor, walk-up or elevator apartment, the distance of the apartment entrance from the truck, what size of doors etc. These pre-move surveys help us arrive at an accurate relocation quote and plan your move adequately making it stress-free.
We can move you on Saturdays but we do not work on Sundays. If your move falls on a Sunday and there is an urgency about that date, kindly give us a call so we confirm if we can move you or not.
Yes, it does. When you pack yourself, dismantle your beds/other furniture and uninstall your appliance, you reduce your cost of moving. You can purchase boxes and packing materials from us.
Any move within a state is called a local relocation while interstate relocation is moving from one state to another. I-MOVE Logistics offers local moves within Lagos state only. We offer interstate relocation (long-distance moves) from other states to Lagos or from Lagos to other states.
When an individual or family is moving their home it’s called a home relocation and is normally completed within a day or two. When an organisation is moving their office its called an office relocation. A storage relocation is when an individual or organisation moves their property into storage.
We currently accept only bank transfers.
Extra charges may occur in the following scenarios. If the agreed destination address in the estimate is changed. If the entrance or exit to the premises, stairs, lifts, or doorways are inadequate for free movement of the goods and needs mechanical equipment or structural alteration. If the road, electric fence or driveway is unsuitable for our vehicles or containers to load or unload within 20 meters of the doorway. If a piece of furniture cannot enter the elevator and it has to be carried down the flight of stairs from the 3rd floor upward. If the material used on your relocation exceeds the quoted amount.
At I-MOVE Logistics, our relocation quotes are not one blanket charge. We break it down to include all services we are offering you. We also cover all moving supplies that will be used for your move. Our moving consultants take the time to explain every aspect of your relocation quote.
The duration of your move depends on some of these factors, such as the size of your apartment/home, the total amount of items being moved, the distance of the apartment/home/storage unit from the truck, weather conditions, interstate relocation (long-distance). For home relocation, it takes between one to two days but it might take longer for office and interstate relocations.
Our relocation consultant will visit your residence and carry out a pre-move survey of your personal and household goods you want to be moved. A pre-move survey is needed to determine the approximate cost of your move, the amount of truck space your goods will occupy and the duration of your move. i-Move Logistics will compute a binding estimate and send your relocation quote via email. An accurate quote may not be calculated without a visual survey of the goods to be moved.
The relocation consultant will arrive at your home to complete the visual survey of your items. Once this is completed, he or she will calculate the number of items going, packing cost and any other charge related to your move—please remember that the relocation consultant must see what you are moving to provide you with an accurate estimate. They will take pictures to facilitate accurate costing. Don’t be alarmed—it is normal for a relocation consultant to go through all of your cabinets and closets, or even look under beds and on top of cabinets. He or she must be able to completely see what is moving and possibly needs packing. If you know of items that are out of view, be sure to point them out to the relocation consultant. You will only be charged for items that will be joining your shipment.
You can pack yourself, we can pack some of your belongings or we can pack everything. i-Move Logistics is here to personalize your move process and make this transition easier. If you’re interested in our packing services, you can discuss options with your relocation consultant during your in-home survey. i-Move Logistics offers different packing services to fit all types of moves and budgets.
If you have young children it is a good idea to do the move while they are in school or daycare. You can also drop them off at the place of a friend or family. You will be busy with the movers and it will be difficult for you to give your child the attention he/she needs. It’s a much less stressful day for you if your children are not home on moving day.
You want to make sure animals are in their cat/dog carrier before the movers arrive. Animals are curious and can get underfoot. If your dog isn’t good around strangers please have them tied up or in their carrier. Moving companies cannot transport any live animal; no dogs, cats, fish or reptiles are allowed in the truck. You would have to arrange for their transportation.
Yes, you can for local relocations only. We will move your plants last at the back of the truck after we have loaded all your household goods. If you have lots of plants or you are moving an entire garden we won’t move your plants in the same truck as your household goods. We would move all these plants separately in a cargo van or truck.
For Interstate relocations (Long-distance move), we won’t move your plant with your household goods, because the stress and heat of being inside the box truck or moving trailer usually cause them to die. We have you covered, we will arrange a special cargo van or truck that has adequate ventilation to convey your potted plants to their destination.
Items of extraordinary value such as jewellery, money, antiques, international passports, personal documents and stamp collections should be excluded from your shipment. In our terms and conditions of service, we state clearly that we do not convey items of extraordinary value and we shall not be liable for any loss.
Appliances such as washers, dryers, and refrigerators must be disconnected before your moving day, and the washer must have its stabilizers installed. Refrigerators must be defrosted and all their content evacuated. You can place a jar of baking soda insider your refrigerator to help eliminate any unpleasant smell. Washers, dryers and refrigerators must be properly drained before they are loaded into the truck to avoid the movers slipping when water drains out as they carry them.
For local relocations, we can move only your chest freezer with its contents but you will incur any extra charge. Inform us that you would want us to move your chest freezer with its contents.
No, you don’t. This is not something you have to do. Although the guys do appreciate water and soda. They are working hard and they need to rehydrate especially if it’s a hot day.
Yes. We will not move firearms, ammunition, drugs, chemicals and pets. i-Move Logistics does not convey illegal, prohibited and stolen items.
